Job summary

GMG Sports SEA Pte. Ltd. is seeking a capable Person-In-Charge to support the Store Manager in staffing, reporting and inventory, ensuring smooth daily operations and brand compliance.

You will lead a team, coach staff, manage visuals with Merchandisers, drive sales targets, maintain stock accuracy, and uphold brand standards while delivering excellent customer service during retail hours, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management including coaching and mentoring people.
• Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of leading teams and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager on staffing, reporting and inventory matters.

• Maintain product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Work with Visual Merchandisers to follow brand guidelines and attract customers.
• Contribute to achieving sales targets by increasing UPT and ATV and returning customers.
• Ensure Store Opening, Closing and sales transactions align with SOPs.
• Care for stocks, mannequins and items in store at all times.
• Collaborate with inventory/merchandising teams to prevent stock losses.
• Represent the company by complying with brand standards.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Being the second person in charge, supporting the Store Manager on staffing, reporting and inventory matters.

• Daily briefing exercise for team by shifts.

• Being on top of our brands' product knowledge to ensure customers are assisted well with their needs.

• Involved with the Visual Merchandisers team to guarantee the store is in accordance to our brand guidelines, displays are serving to attract customers to walk in into the store.

• Contribute positively to achieving individual and group sales target by increasing the UPT and ATV and returning customers.

• Ensure Store Opening, Closing and sales transactions are in line with the SOP of our brands.

• Proper care of stocks, inventory, mannequins and any items within the store at all times.

• Directly involved in working with the inventory and merchandising team to ensure the floor inventory and stocks are with no losses by conducting stock counts and receiving.

• Being the Company representative by complying with Brand standards.

Requirements

• Passionate about sports/lifestyle products and services

• Minimum 1 years of management experience in retail and as the Person-In-Charge in a store setting

• Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English

• Pleasant personality and professional conduct with the ability to work under pressure

• Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Able to work effectively and manage people in a team-oriented environment

• Demonstrable experience in retail management including experience in coaching and mentoring people.

• Ability to use retail business systems and Microsoft Office.

• Willing to work according to the retail hours, on weekends as well as on public holidays.
