7E CONNECT is expanding its Singapore footprint and seeks a Retail Manager to take full operational ownership of a cluster of 2–3 stores.

This hands-on, floor-based leadership role focuses on sales performance, stock integrity, cash control, manpower planning and service standards across the outlets. You will rotate across shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to meet business needs.

7E CONNECT is a franchisee of 7-Eleven Singapore, currently operating 9 stores with further outlets planned. We are hiring a Retail Manager to take full operational ownership of a cluster of 2 to 3 stores.

This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role - not a desk role. You will be accountable for sales performance, stock integrity, cash control, manpower planning and service standards across your assigned stores. Because our outlets run extended and 24-hour operating schedules, this position requires the ability to work all three rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-store operations: Take end-to-end responsibility for the day-to-day running of 2-3 assigned outlets, ensuring each operates efficiently, profitably and to franchisor standards. Split your time across stores according to business needs.
• Sales and profitability: Drive daily, weekly and monthly sales targets across the cluster. Review sales and stock reports, identify underperforming categories, and act on promotional and merchandising opportunities.
• Inventory and stock integrity: Manage ordering, receiving, replenishment and stock accuracy. Lead quarterly stocktakes, investigate stock variances, and enforce FIFO and expiry-date controls on chilled, hot food and short-shelf-life items.
• Cash and float control: Oversee daily cash-up, float management, POS discrepancies and banking procedures, and support monthly float checks conducted by the Area Manager.
• People management: Plan and publish rosters covering all shifts across your stores. Recruit, train, coach and supervise store staff; manage attendance, leave planning and shift coverage; step onto the floor to cover gaps when required.
• Customer experience: Set the service standard by example. Resolve customer feedback and escalations promptly and professionally.
• Compliance and standards: Ensure each store meets food hygiene, cleanliness, workplace safety and licensing obligations, including strict enforcement of age-restricted product sales controls. Maintain merchandising and planogram compliance.
• Franchisor liaison: Work with the 7-Eleven Area Manager and support functions on audits, promotions, new product launches and operational initiatives. Liaise with suppliers and delivery teams on replenishment accuracy and timeliness.
• Cost control: Manage manpower scheduling, wastage, utilities and operating expenses to protect store margins.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 2 years in retail operations, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or store-in-charge capacity. Experience running more than one outlet, or in convenience store / minimart / quick-service retail, is an advantage.
• Shift flexibility (essential): Our stores operate on extended and 24-hour schedules. You must be able and willing to work a rotating three-shift roster (morning, afternoon and night), including weekends and public holidays, as published in advance.
• Mobility: Willing to travel between assigned outlets during a working day, and to be reassigned to other 7E CONNECT stores as operational needs require.
• Job-related physical demands: The role involves extended periods of standing and moving on the shop floor, and lifting and carrying stock cartons during deliveries and replenishment.
• Skills: Confident with POS and inventory systems and able to read and act on daily sales and stock reports. Basic spreadsheet ability. Able to communicate clearly in English with team members, customers, suppliers and the franchisor, as English is our working and reporting language.
• Attributes: Organised, accountable, comfortable making operational decisions on the floor, and attentive to stock accuracy, expiry control and store cleanliness.
• Certification: WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 (Basic Food Hygiene) is an advantage; where required for the assigned outlet, this must be obtained within 3 months of joining, sponsored by the company.
