Job summary

Cold Storage Singapore 1983 Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive Convenience Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, maintain high customer service standards, supervise staff, and drive sales and profitability.

You will manage inventory, scheduling, merchandising, cash handling, and compliance with food safety and company SOPs, while leading a team to deliver smooth shifts and excellent store experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum ITE / NITEC qualification preferred.
• Supervisory or managerial experience in convenience retail, supermarket, F&B, or retail operations preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Customer-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the convenience store and ensure smooth store functioning during assigned shifts.
• Lead, supervise, train, and motivate store team members to achieve operational and customer service standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and manpower deployment based on operational requirements.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and handle customer feedback or escalations professionally.
• Monitor sales performance and support initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
• Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, replenishment, stock rotation, and wastage control.
• Ensure store merchandising, promotional displays, and pricing are properly executed.
• Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and food safety / hygiene standards within the store.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, workplace safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle cash management duties including cashier balancing, petty cash, and sales reconciliation.

About the role

• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple operational priorities
• Comfortable handling cash management and basic administrative duties
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts where required
• Comfortable with prolonged standing, movement, and light manual handling duties
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems will be an advantage
