Job summary

Starbucks Singapore is seeking a Learning and Development Manager (Retail) based in Singapore to lead the retail L&D strategy and enable store partners and leaders to build the capabilities needed to deliver operational excellence and the Starbucks Experience.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to design training plans, oversee the learning framework, systems and budgets, and ensure content remains current, engaging and effective across all stores.

Qualifications

• ACTA or ACLP certification required.
• Experience leading L&D in retail, hospitality, or fast-paced service.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong prioritisation and project management.
• Strategic and commercially minded with ability to develop business plans.
• People-focused with coaching and team development experience.
• Creative and adaptable; able to localise learning materials.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to leverage resources for learning outcomes.
• Knowledge of Workday LMS and e-learning tools (Articulate, DominKnow) and AI-enabled learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead L&D strategy and design programmes for Starbucks Singapore retail.
• Oversee learning systems, content library and training records in Workday.
• Manage budgets and vendor contracts for training providers.
• Partner with Operations and leaders to identify learning needs and drive capability-building.
• Coach and develop the L&D team and measure learning impact.
• Ensure compliance with learning requirements and maintain engaging content.
