Job summary

The role requires 3+ years in data science or AI, strong Python skills, and familiarity with LLM safety concepts. You will develop evaluation tools, support ongoing risk mitigation, and communicate insights to technical teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning or AI.
• Hands-on model evaluation and validation across projects.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and management.
• Experience with end-to-end data science projects and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate models and methodology: Review AI use cases, data suitability, modelling assumptions, validation methods and performance measures.
• Assess AI risks and safeguards: Test risks like hallucination, prompt injection, data disclosure and unauthorized actions; recommend safeguards.
• Process governance reviews: Ensure completeness, policy compliance, evidence, and route cases to approving authority.
• Implement policies and controls: Translate IM8 and agency requirements into checklists and templates; update as needed.
• Develop evaluation and monitoring tools: Adapt Python scripts and test sets; define acceptance criteria and monitoring measures.
• Report and transfer knowledge: Provide monthly updates; hand over evaluation code and procedures to designated officers.
