Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. is seeking a Data Scientist to support Responsible AI governance within Organization's Data Strategy and Analytics Division. The role combines technical evaluation of AI systems with the implementation and operation of agency AI governance processes.

You will assess model performance, methodology and risk, review policy compliance, and help project teams implement safeguards for safe and responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data science, ML or AI including hands-on model evaluation and validation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate models and methodology: review use cases, data suitability, modelling assumptions, validation methods and performance measures.
• Assess AI risks and safeguards: test risks for LLMs and agentic systems; recommend safeguards and assess residual risks.
• Process governance reviews: check submissions for completeness, policy compliance, supporting evidence, and approval routing.
• Implement policies and controls: translate IM8, RAI and agency requirements into practical checklists and workflows.
• Develop evaluation and monitoring tools: adapt Python scripts and test sets; define acceptance criteria and monitoring measures.
