GovTech Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist to help build an in‑house capability for evaluating, selecting and adapting AI models for government use. You will work across the full model engineering lifecycle, from evaluation through data preparation, training and validation.

This hands-on role involves running experiments, building datasets and tooling, and documenting results to support reproducible outcomes. A strong background in Python and modern deep learning stacks is essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with the modern deep learning stack (e.g. PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Experience fine-tuning or post-training language models with methods like LoRA/QLoRA, DPO or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build evaluation suites to compare models on government-relevant tasks, behaviours and costs.
• Diagnose model weaknesses through evaluation and determine gaps after prompting and tool-use improvements.
• Set up and operate model hosting and evaluation infrastructure and measure inference performance and cost.
