Job summary

PERSOL Singapore PTE. LTD. seeks a Diploma-qualified site supervisor to uphold safety on a live project at One Raffles Quay or USC Plant. You will work with the safety team, review drawings and method statements, and supervise contractors to meet technical and schedule requirements.

The role requires strong communication and coordination skills, night-work capability, and familiarity with MS Office; experience with chilled water systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Building, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• RTO accreditation in Singapore.
• Experience in construction site supervision and ability to work night shifts.
• Experience with chilled water systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety mindset and conduct daily toolbox meetings on site.

• Supervise and manage the delivery of materials and equipment; verify quantities.

Work Location:One Raffles Quay or USC Plant (Union Square near Havelock Road)

What You’ll Do

• Enforce the Company's safety mindset and culture for all staff deployed on site. Conduct daily morning toolbox meetings. Work with the Company's safety team on site safety inspections and ensure contractors uphold safety measures on site. Report problems and prevent accidents occurring as a result of negligence.
• Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material requisitions, etc.
• Supervise and manage the delivery of materials and equipment. Verify the quantity and condition of equipment against the bill of lading on site and update delivery records.
• Coordinate site services, including entry locations, routing, and related activities.
• Supervise construction activities, including daily checks on contractors, site investigations, site surveys, installation works, and inspections to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project schedules
• Conduct line checks to ensure systems are installed in accordance with contract requirements and approved shop drawings.
• Prepare reports on project work status, site issues, events, progress, and recommendations for improvement. Work with the team to resolve problems and ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain records of project progress and note any special comments. Report work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractors to the supervisor and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify defects, prepare punch lists, and coordinate the rectification and closure of defects.
• Witness, provide comments and reports, and assist in carrying out site acceptance tests, pre-commissioning activities, and testing and commissioning of equipment and systems in accordance with contract requirements and method statements.
• Participate in the development and review of as-built drawings and O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals.
• Assist in handing over completed systems to the O&M team.
• Perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Diploma in Building, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution, with relevant experience in construction site supervision.
• Accredited as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) in Singapore, with a strong understanding of construction practices, engineering drawings, quality control, workplace safety requirements, and applicable statutory regulations.
• Experience in chilled water system projects will be advantageous. The successful candidate should possess strong communication and coordination skills, be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate site documentation and reporting, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Must be comfortable to do night work when required.
