Job summary

Turner & Townsend Pte. Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to lead on-site mechanical and electrical systems for data center or mission-critical projects.

You will oversee HVAC, power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire suppression, ensuring design compliance and safety. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10–15 years in M&E, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with Singapore codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of experience in M&E engineering, preferably data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Registered M&E RTO with IES/ACES JAC in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site M&E works including HVAC, chilled water, power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire suppression.
• Ensure adherence to design specs, local codes, and international standards.
• Inspect and test M&E installations and resolve technical issues with stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for M&E systems.
• Provide progress reports and assist in commissioning and problem resolution.

• Ensure adherence to design specifications, local codes, and international standards.
• Conduct inspections and testing of M&E installations.
• Verify compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for M&E systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues during construction and commissioning phases.
• Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely resolution of site-related challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering, preferably in data center or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, power distribution, UPS, and fire suppression systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with Singapore building codes and regulations.
• Registered and accredited as an M&E RTO with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES)/Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES) Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC)
