Job summary

IET Pte. Ltd. invites an experienced Civil/Structural Engineering professional to oversee tunnel and civil works for the Megaspine project at Changi T5.

You will supervise excavation, shaft construction, structural works, and temporary works, ensuring quality and contractor compliance on site. Responsibilities include site inspections, reporting, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and authorities to resolve technical issues, while maintaining safety standards in line with WSH

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably tunnel projects.
• Registered RTO with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES).

Responsibilities

• Supervise tunnel and civil engineering works to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Monitor tunnel excavation, shaft construction, structural and temporary works activities.
• Conduct site inspections and verify quality of materials, workmanship, and completed works.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and project safety requirements.
• Monitor geotechnical instrumentation, settlement readings, and ground movement during tunnelling operations.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and authorities to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Attend site meetings, prepare inspection records, and submit progress and quality reports.
• Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing tunnel construction activities and ensuring compliance with LTA, BCA, and project requirements.
