Job summary

ARTEMIS EXECUTIVE SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee tunnel construction projects in Singapore.

You will manage scheduling, safety, quality standards and coordination with consultants and subcontractors on a range of tunnelling works including TBMs. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, has 8+ years of tunnel project experience in Singapore, and at least 5 years with TBMs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities, progress, planning, implementation, and monitoring work schedules per master and detailed programs.
• Provide technical advice on bridge/tunnel, underground excavation and tunnelling works.
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities to ensure TBM services are delivered.
• Liaise with PE on Temporary works and with consultants on technical issues.
• Guide supervisors to ensure progress, quality standards, inspections and timely resolution of issues.
• Prepare reports and method statements as needed.
• Manage and control workers to keep site safe and neat.
• Supervise ongoing site activities and subcontractors.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction activities, progress, planning, implementation, and monitoring work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work program
• Provide technical advice on works of Bridge/Tunnel, Underground Excavation and Tunnelling works
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities to ensure that TBM services are delivered
• Liaise with PE on the Temporary works
• Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Handle technical and engineering problems
• Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained site inspections are carried out and technical issues are resolved on time
• Prepare report and method statement whenever necessary
• Manage and control workers and monitor their work closely to keep the site safe and neat
• Supervise ongoing site activities closely
• Experienced in grouting reinforcement, muck pit construction, circulating water pool construction, gantry crane installation, and thrust frame installation
• Supervise subcontractors

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Tunnel Projects in Singapore
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with various TBMs
• Competent in planning and organizing work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines
• Strong sense of responsibility & good leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good team player with the ability to lead & multi-tasking
