Job summary

P-CON MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead the site supervision team for civil and structural works and to support project management on inspections, RFIs, and technical submittals.

The ideal candidate will have a PE Board-recognised civil/structural degree, 10+ years of relevant supervision experience, and be registered with IES as Resident Engineer for civil works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (PE Board Singapore preferred).
• 10+ years of construction supervision experience in civil & structural works, water or used water treatment facilities.
• Registered with IES as Resident Engineer (Civil).
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site supervision team on civil, structural and building construction works.
• Support Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager on inspection issues, contract matters and defect rectification supervision.
• Address RFIs and technical submittals; review method statements and instrumentation readings; coordinate with other disciplines and HQ design team/QP.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Lead the site supervision team on all the Civil and Structural and Building Construction works.
• Assist Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager on all Civil & Structural site inspection issues, contract related matters and support the identification of defects and supervise rectification works.
• Address and respond to all Contractor’s RFI’s and technical submittals. Other work scopes include but not limited to assess method statements/instrumentation reading, coordinate with other discipline engineers and liaise with design team/QP from HQ.
• Attend all site/project related meetings, discussions with clients and/or Contractors and to lead in technical and work progress discussions.

Requirements:

• Good graduate Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, preferably recognised by the PE Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising civil and structural works in water/used water treatment works.
• Registered with IES as Resident Engineer (Civil).
• A person with good communication and leadership skills.
