Job summary

P-Con Management Pte Ltd is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer/Project Leader to drive water infrastructure projects in Singapore. The role requires leadership of a multi-disciplinary site team and close coordination with head office design and client stakeholders.

The candidate should have PE or Chartered Engineer credentials and a Civil engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, with at least 15 years in study, design and construction of water

Qualifications

• PE or Chartered Engineer certification or equivalent.
• Civil engineering degree recognized by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in water infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and supervision of site staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Director/PM in development and implementation of water strategy for project management.
• Lead a site team including Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Resident Engineers, and QS.
• Plan project delivery including time and manpower scheduling for RSS.
• Resolve contractual matters related to the project.
• Lead meetings with client, contractors, authorities and stakeholders on technical and contractual topics.
• Coordinate between Head Office Design and RSS team to ensure timely reviews.
• Resolve site issues and defects with support of the technical team.
• Be accountable for performance of the site team and client-facing project matters.

• Support the Project Director/Project Manager in the development, communication, and implementation of the Water strategy for project management.
• Lead a site team of Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, multiple discipline Resident Engineers and Resident Technical Officers, Quantity Surveyors, Safety Officer, BIM Modeller, etc.
• Project delivery planning including time and manpower scheduling for Resident Site Staff (RSS).
• Resolve contractual matters related to the project.
• Attend and lead meetings or discussions with client, contractors, authorities and stakeholders on technical, progress, contractual and permitting matters.
• Coordinate between the Head Office Design team and RSS team to ensure reviews are carried out with quality and timeliness.
• Resourceful and able to resolve site issues and critical defects and punch lists rectification works with the support of technical team.
• Be accountable and responsible for the performance of the site team by fronting the Client in all project-related matters.

Qualifications

• Preferably a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with Professional Engineers Board Singapore or Chartered Engineer.
• Possess a university engineering degree (Civil) recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the study, design and construction of water infrastructure plant projects preferably in water treatment plants of about 40migd in treatment capacity.
• Good leadership and supervisory skills with experience in leading a group of Resident Site Staff.
