Job summary

BINNIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer Leader to manage the team of Resident Engineers and collaborate with the Engineering Manager on major technical and design issues during construction.

The LRE will define inspection requirements, ensure field engineering and testing adequacy, and serve in the QP supervision role to ensure construction aligns with design. The role also supports project management, planning, and client meetings to drive successful project

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Experience in design and construction of large infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and supervision of Resident Site Staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the team of Resident Engineers as well as work closely with Engineering Manager on all major technical and design issues during construction.
• The LRE shall define the inspection requirements for the Project as well as to ensure the adequacy of the field engineering, inspection and testing functions on each contract to meet the engineering standards.
• To serve in the QP supervision role to help our QP design to construct according to design.
• Support the Project Director/Project Manager in the development, communication, and implementation of the project management.
• Project delivery planning including time and manpower scheduling for Resident Site Staff (RSS).
• Resolve contractual matters related to the project.
• Attend and lead meetings or discussions with client, contractors, authorities and stakeholders on technical, progress, contractual and permitting matters.
• Coordinate between the Head Office Design team and RSS team to ensure reviews are carried out with quality and timeliness.
• Resourceful and able to resolve site issues and critical defects and punch lists rectification works with the support of technical team.
• Be accountable and responsible for the performance of the site team by fronting the Client in all project-related matters.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a university engineering degree (Civil) recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Have more than 10 years of relevant engineering experience in the design and construction of large infrastructure projects including relevant water retaining structure construction experience.
• Good leadership and supervisory skills with experience in leading a group of Resident Site Staff.
