Job summary

Primer API Limited is a fully remote global payments company seeking a proactive Technical Account Manager. You will own technical relationships with merchants, debug complex integrations, and design solutions with engineering and product teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on API work, risk management, and clear communication with senior stakeholders. Ideal candidates have strong experience in payments tech, APIs, and merchant-facing roles, plus the ability to operate autonomously in a distributed

Qualifications

Hands-on technical ability to read API logs and traces.
Experience in a technical, merchant/customer-facing role in payments.
Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks and SDKs.
Proactive risk identification and governance.
Comfort presenting to senior technical stakeholders.
Experience with payments infrastructure.
Design-partner support experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor merchant integration and payment performance and flag risk.
Recommend routing/config changes with cost rationale.
Root-cause debugging of integration issues.
Escalation ownership during incidents with RCAs.
Lead technical deep-dives and solution design sessions.
Manage expectations and feedback to Product and Engineering.
Run quarterly integration reviews with merchants' engineers/payments stakeholders.
Translate regulatory changes into technical plans for affected merchants.
