Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a skilled QA/test engineer for a 12-month contract with hybrid work: Toa Payoh / WFH 3-4x weekly. You will design and execute test cases for frontend and backend systems and build automated suites.

You will perform API testing, validate data integrity, collaborate with developers and product managers, participate in code reviews, and help improve QA processes. The role requires strong experience with Cypress/Selenium/Playwright and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA/software testing for full stack applications.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Jest, or similar).
• Solid understanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured, or similar).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend concepts (APIs, databases).
• Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6).
• Basic scripting/programming skills (JavaScript, Python).
• Familiarity with SQL for backend/database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for frontend and backend systems
• Develop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end)
• Perform API testing and validate backend business logic and data integrity
• Test UI functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser/cross-device compatibility
• Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define acceptance criteria
• Participate in code reviews and sprint planning from a quality perspective
• Perform regression, performance, and load testing as needed
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and test coverage
