Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced bilingual Japanese-English professionals to train and refine AI models on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.

We need translators who can create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated content across core workflows, including business and legal translation review, localization QA, and glossary management. This is a fully remote role with flexible hours (5–20 per week) and an ASAP start, offering $100/hour.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in professional Japanese-English translation, localization, or bicultural business communications
• Native or near-native fluency in Japanese, with direct experience reviewing high-stakes Japanese-language business or legal materials
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows
• Business and legal translation review, localization and tone-adaptation QA
• Cultural-context and etiquette assessments, terminology and glossary management, and bilingual client-facing materials
