Job summary

Argyll Scott Asia is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to support the reliability and day-to-day performance of its technology environment in Singapore. You will work across Engineering, Product, Customer Support and Business Operations to resolve operational issues, improve processes and help maintain reliable systems and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years in Technical Operations, IT Operations, System Support, Data Operations or related roles, including large-scale production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with ticketing systems and operational monitoring tools.
• Hands-on with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK).
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Scripting/automation knowledge (Python, PowerShell or Shell).
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel or data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile or DevOps methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day operational performance and availability of systems and services.
• Participate in an availability incident rotation and provide technical support.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with cross-team coordination.
• Conduct root cause analysis after incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Develop scripts/tools to prevent recurring incidents and improve efficiency.
• Review workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
• Create and maintain SOPs and ensure adherence to processes.
• Monitor KPIs and service metrics; prepare dashboards and management reporting.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Customer Support and Business Operations for guidance and status updates.
• Support operational risk management, security and governance activities as required.
