We are looking for a Receiving Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely receiving of goods, ensuring quality, quantity, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role supports smooth operations by maintaining proper inventory controls, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and ensuring cost-effective and low-risk procurement processes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Ensure the correct quantity, quality, and specifications of products are met upon receipt.
Coordinate and monitor supplier deliveries to ensure timely arrival of goods.
Review inventory levels and assist in preparing purchase orders for required materials, goods, and supplies.
Collate purchase requisitions and coordinate approvals for purchase orders and invoice payments.
Store products appropriately in designated locations in accordance with safety and storage standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing, inventory, and pricing records in the system.
Conduct monthly inventory counts and a full stock take at the end of each financial year.
Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly inventory and receiving reports.
Source and coordinate cost-effective shipment and delivery arrangements prior to collection of goods.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate requisitions and operational needs are met.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery and resolve discrepancies when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in receiving or storekeeping roles, preferably in hospitality
Understand supply chain management and procurement processes
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Independent and Reliable
Excellent Organization skills and Time Management
Ability to work in a team environment
May require physical handing of products, including lifting and transportation
