Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Food R&D professional to drive product development for dairy and beverage applications across Asia Pacific. You will work hands-on in lab and pilot plant settings, supporting formulation, processing, testing and documentation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Operations, and requires 2–3 years in food product development along with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in food product development, applications or food manufacturing.
• Experience in Food R&D / Product Development is required.
• Basic understanding of ingredient functionality and food processing principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product development activities in laboratory and pilot plant environments, with a primary focus on dairy and beverage applications.
• Support formulation development, process optimisation, troubleshooting and application testing.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, results and project activities.
• Prepare technical reports and application documentation.
• Support innovation projects from concept development through to commercialisation.
• Provide technical support to Marketing, Technical Service, Sales and Operations teams.
• Assist with customer projects by developing and evaluating application prototypes.
• Support technical presentations, seminars and training activities.
• Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges and recommend suitable solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment.
• Manage laboratory ingredients, materials, equipment and samples to ensure proper availability and storage.
• Organise and maintain the ingredient library, ensuring ingredients are properly labelled, stored and tracked.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
• Comply with all EHS&S policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
