Job summary

Frontken (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a development-focused engineer to conduct exploratory research in new chemistry for precision cleaning, coatings and processes. The role right away involves optimizing materials, assisting process development, product trials, scale‑ups and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers and global R&D teams, write reports, and contribute to technology innovation, with travel overseas as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Material Engineering.
• 1 year of working experience in production environment.
• On job training includes 1 year attachment in Production line.
• Innovation mind & strong interest in laboratory work and passionate for innovation.
• Initiative, good analytical skills & good report writing skills.
• Self-motivated team player and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work efficiently in a multi-cultural environment.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese will be an added advantage to liaise with associates.
• Required to travel overseas on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineers in the development of new chemistry, coating products and processes.
• Optimize the coating materials, formulations, processes, and products.
• Perform complex processing experiments, and lead the projects / studies.
• Adapt to new technologies, new designs of experiments and new laboratory techniques.
• Write experimental results and technical reports and present at group and R&D meeting.
• Interface with other Coating team personnel as well as global R&D Departments, Engineering, Production, laboratories, vendors, etc.
• Being responsible for internal technical support and external technical cooperation.
• Being responsible for the development and innovation of products, creating and implementing the POR, the standardization and quantitative management of the team.
• Doing technical analysis and quality analysis regularly, being responsible for avoiding and remedying the mistakes of products and guiding the supervision of unqualified products.
• Strong business partnering, influencing, communication, stakeholder alignment, people management skills.
• Any other duties as assigned
