Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is helping a well-established MNC specializing in advanced coating and surface engineering solutions for semiconductor, precision engineering and industrial applications.

The role is based in Tuas with transport provided and a 7:45am–4:45pm schedule, five days a week. You will support R&D activities, assist in process development and NPD, conduct testing of materials, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement new coatings and processes while

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Materials Science or Engineering.
• 1–2 years in R&D engineering, preferably metals, alloys or ceramics.
• Experience in process development, NPD and cost-down activities.
• Familiar with SAP and NCC systems, BOM and process flow.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 13485 quality standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Entry-level applicants with relevant academics welcomed.

Job description

Our client is a well-established MNC specialising in advanced coating and surface engineering solutions for semiconductor, precision engineering and industrial applications.

Working Days: Monday - Friday, 5 days per week
Working Hours: 7:45am - 4:45pm
Location: Tuas (Transport Provided)

Job Responsibilities

• Support research and development activities for advanced coating and surface engineering products.
• Assist in process development, new product development (NPD) and product improvement initiatives.
• Conduct testing, evaluation and analysis of materials and coating processes to support R&D projects.
• Work with materials such as metals, alloys and ceramics to develop and optimise products and processes.
• Support cost calculation and cost-down initiatives to improve product competitiveness.
• Prepare and maintain BOM, part numbers and process flow documentation using relevant systems.
• Work closely with production, engineering and other teams to support product and process implementation.
• Ensure R&D activities and processes comply with relevant quality standards and company requirements.
• Perform other R&D and engineering duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Materials Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of R&D engineering experience, preferably involving metals, alloys or ceramics, will be an advantage.
• Experience in process development, NPD, cost calculation and cost-down activities is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP and NCC systems, including BOM, part numbers and process flow, will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of quality management standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Entry-level with relevant academic qualifications and a strong interest in R&D engineering are welcome to apply.
