Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an R&D Chemical Engineer to lead the development of new surface treatment processes within the Advanced Coatings Business Group. Based at Surface Engineering Hub, you will collaborate with international teams and support sales during technical discussions.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in surface treatment, materials chemistry, and process formulation.

• Experience in leading R&D projects and collaborating with international teams.

R&D CHEMICAL ENGINEER – FORMULATION & SURFACE TREATMENT

Salary:

$4.5K - $5.5K

Location:

Surface Engineering Hub (Bus pickup provided at Jurong East at 7:30 am)

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Mon–Fri, 8:00 am – 5:00pm

Benefits Package:

• Remuneration: 13th-month pay (AWS) plus a yearly variable bonus. Salary increments are conducted in March.
• Leave & Probation: 15 days of annual leave with a 3-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for leading projects focused on the development of new surface treatment processes within the company's Advanced Coatings Business Group. In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

• Formulating and optimizing surface treatment processes,
• Defining and validating technical specifications,
• Providing technical support to sales teams, particularly in promoting our solutions to customers,
• Supporting customers during industrialization phases through successful operational implementation.

As the company is an international group, you will regularly collaborate with their commercial and technical teams located in different countries.

Target Profile:

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3 to 5 years of experience in surface treatment, materials chemistry, and process formulation
