Job summary

DYNTEK PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support before, during and after sales, including for drawings proposals, and in aid for production. You will monitor project quantities, material costs and prepare cost estimates to support quotations and procurement.

The role requires coordinating with technical and sales teams, reviewing drawings and ensuring accurate quantity take-offs and cost planning across multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications, schedules and other project documents to identify the scope of works and material requirements.
• Carry out quantity take-off and measurement of materials based on drawings, schedules, specifications and information provided by the client.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ), material schedules and quantity summaries for tender and commercial submission purposes.
• Coordinate with the Solutions Engineer / Technical Team to ensure quantities are based on correct positions, profiles, sizes, lengths and design requirements.
• Review and verify quantities generated from drawings, BIM models, take-off software or external drafting services.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, duplication or inconsistencies between drawings, specifications, BQ and proposed material quantities.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed material cost estimates for projects based on pricing, fabrication requirements and conditions.
• Assist the Sales Team in preparing competitive quotations for customers.
• Evaluate the commercial impact of design or material options and provide cost comparisons for value engineering.
• Maintain records of project quantities, costing assumptions, exclusions and inclusions for each quotation.
• Prepare and issue quotations based on approved quantities, pricing and terms.
• Review customer enquiries, tender documents and BQs to determine the Company's scope of supply.
• Verify that quotations cover required items including stiffeners, lintels, accessories and delivery.
• Liaise with Sales and Solutions Engineering Teams on technical requirements or material quantities.
• Prepare alternative quotations or pricing options.
• Assist in preparing value engineering proposals by comparing material configurations, profiles, lengths, quantities and installation arrangements.
• Monitor quotation status and follow up on submissions.
• Maintain records of quotations, revisions and tender results for management review.
• Assist Sales Team in analyzing competitor pricing and market conditions.
