Job summary

EPG BUILDING SERVICES in Singapore seeks a Quantity Surveyor to manage financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring budgets and legal compliance from pre-construction through final accounts.

You will perform cost estimation, prepare tender packages, evaluate bids, monitor costs, and manage risk and variations to optimize project value and cash flow for successful completions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or civil engineering.
• Strong mathematical ability and blueprint reading skills.
• Experience with estimation software such as CostX or Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial and contractual aspects of construction projects to keep on budget and meet legal standards.
• Cost Estimation: Calculate quantities, material needs, labor expenses, and timeframes before construction starts.
• Tender & Contracts: Prepare tender packages, bills of quantities, and evaluate contractor bids.
• Financial Monitoring: Track project costs, manage cash flow, and review subcontractor valuations during construction.
• Risk & Variation Management: Assess commercial risks and negotiate pricing for plan alterations or claims.
• Final Accounts: Reconcile all final costs, variations, and retention sums at project completion.
