Job summary

Straits Construction Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with at least 2 years of tendering experience in Singapore's building construction sector. The role involves preparing tender prices, cost comparisons, and collaborative planning within a main contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in Singapore building construction industry with the Main contractor preferred.
• Experience in tendering work.
• Sound computer literacy including advanced skills in Excel. Proficient in Cubicost Glodon will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet timelines and manage tender activities.
• Measure quantities, collect quotations, and compare costs for tender pricing.
• Review quotations against specifications and design.
• Check quantities across teammates and identify potential omissions.
• Proofread tender responses for quantity incorporation and stakeholder issuance.
• Negotiate prices with subcontractors/partners.
• Assess cost impact and review value engineering or variations.

Job description

Job Responsibilties:

• Understanding the requirement of tender document

• Exercise collaborative plan and define extend of works

• Understanding and achieve within timelines

• Timely management of tender activities

• General duty include measurement of quantity, collect quotation, cost comparison and participate in prepare tender price

• Review of quotations with the specification designed

• Review of the quantity from each buddies, cross check for possible item that may have overlook

• Proof reading of tender responses to highlight areas for incorporation of quantity and ensure issuance to stake holders to quote for works

• Negotiate price with Subcontractor/partnership

• Review of cost impact (Value Engineering proposal/ Variations)

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
