Job summary

LBD ALLIANCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Singapore to support procurement, cost control, and contract administration for landed houses and aluminium/glazing projects.

The role involves evaluating tenders, preparing budgets and cost reports, sourcing materials at competitive prices, and ensuring timely progress claims and final accounts. Strong communication and independence are essential assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Civil Engineering/ Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry in Singapore.
• Experience with landed houses / aluminium and glazing projects.
• Strong procurement skills with ability to source materials at competitive prices.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tenders, prepare tender documents and quotations for projects.
• Procure and coordinate purchase of materials, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
• Prepare project budgets, cost reports and cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims for progress, VOs and final accounts.
• Administer contracts and assess variations, EOT claims and liquidated damages.
• Verify contractors’ invoices against Purchase/Works Orders for accuracy.
• Review project specs and provide cost and contractual recommendations.
• Support sub-contractor progress payments and obtain required insurances.
• Maintain correspondence among consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and related parties.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate tenders, prepare tender documents, and quotations for projects.
• Procure and coordinate the purchase of materials required for projects, ensuring timely delivery, competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare project budgets, cost reports and financial projections, and monitor project costs and cash flow.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims for construction progress, VOs and final accounts, ensuring timely and complete submission for payment.
• Administer contracts and assess contract variations, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, liquidated damages and other contractual matters.
• Compile, check, certify and confirm contractors’ invoices to ensure accuracy with the Purchase Order/ Works Order.
• Review project specifications and provide cost and contractual recommendations.
• Evaluation and certificate of sub-contractors' progress payments.
• Obtain insurances required for project
• Manage and maintain correspondence between all consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers and related parties.
• And any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
