Job summary

Search Avenue Pte Ltd is seeking a meticulous Tender Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Singapore. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, coordinate tender submissions, and support pre-contract activities to secure competitive bids for construction projects.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, 2–5 years tendering experience, and strong Excel and Glodon Cubicost skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and contract requirements.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subs.

Our client is an established firm in the construction industry. They are looking for a meticulous and commercially minded Tender Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating tender submissions, and supporting the pre-contract process to ensure competitive and successful bids for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates.
• Source, compare, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender pricing, budgets, and submission documents within specified deadlines.
• Analyse project costs and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify tender requirements.
• Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender stage.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the smooth handover of awarded projects to the project execution team.
• Prepare cost reports and assist with other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in tendering or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and quantity surveying software such as Glodon Cubicost.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tender deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
