Job summary

FU XIANG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support procurement, budgeting, estimation, contract administration and cost control on construction projects in Singapore.

You will prepare tender documents, price data reports, evaluate quotations, and liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers. The role requires independent work, meticulous attention to deadlines and a minimum of 4 years in the field.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as QS in construction sector
• Degree / Diploma in Civil/ Building/ QS
• English and Mandarin required for liaising with Mandarin-speaking suppliers/contractors
• Willing to learn, meticulous, and able to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Understand architectural requirements under SIA form of contracts
• Work independently
• Procurement, budgeting, estimation, contract administration, measurement of quantities and variation orders
• Search for new subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare tender documents for RFQ
• Check and compare quotations
• Attend procurement meetings
• Prepare price data reports and other procurement-related reports
• Tender support, mainly for pricing and VECD
• Support other QS works at project sites (main contract, subcontract, cost control, interim payment)
