Job summary

THE BLUE BARREL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a permanent role based on an East Singapore project site.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in QS or Engineering and has extensive experience in M&E building projects. You will be responsible for cost planning, estimating, and contract administration, with strong attention to detail and time management. The role requires preparing RFQs, sourcing quotations, evaluating price comparisons, and managing claims,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in QS or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of QS experience in the construction of M&E Building projects.
• Good knowledge of Quantity Surveying and Contracts Administration.
• Good time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage particular tasks in charge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs and source quotations for materials and services.
• Analyze and evaluate price comparisons and costing summaries.
• Cost planning, estimation and measurement of quantities.
• Responsible for claims, variation orders, budget and cost control.
• Prepare settlement for final accounts and manage contracts administration.
• Handle extensions of time, terms and conditions, loss and expenses claims, etc.

Job description

This is a permanent position with an A1 Main Contractor company. The role will be based on the project site which is on the East side of Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of RFQ’s
• Source for quotation for materials and service
• Analysis and evaluation of price comparison and costing summary
• Cost planning, estimation and measurement of quantities
• Responsible for claims, variation orders, budget & cost control
• Prepare settlement for final account
• Manage Contracts administration
• Handle issues including extension of time, terms and conditions, loss and expenses claims, etc.
