Job summary

In this role, you will handle the tender lifecycle from initial quantity take-offs and risk assessment to preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Electrical systems.
• Experience across tender lifecycle, including quantity take-offs, risk assessment and proposals.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and manage documentation to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Tender/Contract Manager in preparation and submission of tenders.
• Analyze the scope of work and commercial requirements to identify project risks.
• Develop and maintain tender files for tracking bidding activities.
• Prepare and follow up RFQs with suppliers/subcontractors for competitive costing and data.
• Perform quantity take-offs from Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Architectural drawings.
• Collate price comparisons, costing summaries and technical proposals for submissions.
• Review addenda and corrigenda to update costing summaries and proposals.
• Ensure tender submission documents are prepared and finalized within deadlines.
• Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.
• Prepare tender interview materials; perform other duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with team to ensure timely tender delivery.

Our client, a Japanese mechanical and electrical engineering company, specializes in constructing indoor wiring and power transmission lines, as well as installing air conditioning, water supply, and sewage systems in buildings and plants.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Electrical systems to support our project estimation and bidding processes. In this role, you will play a key part in the tender lifecycle, from initial quantity take-offs and risk assessment to the final preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in interpreting technical drawings, and capable of managing documentation to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

【Responsibilities】

• Assist the Tender/Contract Manager in the preparation and submission of tenders.
• Analyze the scope of work and commercial requirements to identify and assess project risks.
• Develop and maintain tender files to ensure systematic tracking and monitoring of all bidding activities.
• Prepare and follow up on Requests for Quotations (RFQ) with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely receipt of competitive costing and technical data.
• Perform quantity take-offs from Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Architectural drawings.
• Collate price comparisons, costing summaries, and technical proposals to facilitate accurate tender submissions.
• Review addenda and corrigenda documents, ensuring the costing summary and technical proposals are updated accordingly.
• Ensure all tender submission documents are prepared and finalized within strict deadlines.
• Maintain comprehensive and orderly documentation for all project-related records.
• Prepare professional presentation materials for tender interviews.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
