Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Contract Manager to support pre- and post-contract activities on large-scale building projects. The candidate should have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, particularly in building projects. This role involves managing contract administration duties, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with budget and contractual terms.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in building projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of quantity surveying and contract administration duties from pre- to post-contract stages.
  • Prepare cost estimates, tender documentation, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) in accordance with project specifications.
  • Evaluate tender submissions and assist in tender clarifications and contract award recommendations.
  • Administer progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Provide cost control and monitoring throughout project lifecycle to ensure compliance with budget and contractual terms.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Review contract terms and identify potential risks, variations, and claims.
  • Support project team in procurement and subcontract management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, project procedures, and statutory requirements.
