Job summary

WEIXIANG CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 3+ years of experience to manage cost estimation, procurement, and tender submissions.

You will work with project teams to monitor costs, prepare BQ quantities, and ensure budgets are adhered to, applying Singapore contract law and procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of construction materials and procurement methods beneficial.
• Familiarity with Building Construction Works and Singapore Contracts Law advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Material ordering and budget tracking for main materials.
• Measurement, payment responses, and VO for subcontractors.
• Preparing tender submissions within deadlines.
• Source, negotiate and award contracts to vendors.
• Tendering and contract documents administration, cost estimation, budgeting.
• Monitor actual construction costs vs. contract work quality.
• Ensure costs are kept within budget throughout the project.
• Advise project team on contractual rights and arbitration procedures when disputes arise.

• Quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Material ordering, budget tracking on quantity for main materials (eg: rebars, tiles etc).
• Measurement, payment response, VO for subcon.
• Preparing of tender submission within specific deadline.
• Source, negotiate and awarding of contracts to vendors.
• Tendering and contract documents administration, preparing BQ, cost estimation, control and budgeting.
• Monitoring actual construction cost vs contract work quality.
• Ensuring that cost is ideally managed within budget throughout the project.
• Advising the project team on contractual rights and arbitration procedures when dispute arises.
• Ensure meticulous assessment of costs / schedule of all projects activities.

Job

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3-years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry.
• Good with figures and an eye for details.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledgeable about construction materials and procurement methods.
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
• Good knowledge in Building Construction Works, Singapore Contracts Law and regulations will be an added advantage.
