Job summary

Weixiang Construction is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, quantity take-off and budget tracking for main materials on site in Singapore.

You will prepare tender submissions, source and negotiate with vendors, and manage cost control across projects, ensuring compliance with Singapore contracts law and regulations. Strong numerical skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction.
• Strong numerical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of Singapore contracts law is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-off and cost estimation.

• Quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Material ordering, budget tracking on quantity for main materials (eg: rebars, tiles etc).
• Measurement, payment response, VO for subcon.
• Preparing of tender submission within specific deadline.
• Source, negotiate and awarding of contracts to vendors.
• Tendering and contract documents administration, preparing BQ, cost estimation, control and budgeting.
• Monitoring actual construction cost vs contract work quality.
• Ensuring that cost is ideally managed within budget throughout the project.
• Advising the project team on contractual rights and arbitration procedures when dispute arises.
• Ensure meticulous assessment of costs / schedule of all projects activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3-years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry.
• Good with figures and an eye for details.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledgeable about construction materials and procurement methods.
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
• Good knowledge in Building Construction Works, Singapore Contracts Law and regulations will be an added advantage.
