Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and BOQ for construction and civil projects.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measure materials and labour requirements.
• Prepare, review and evaluate quotations, tenders and subcontractor submissions.
• Assist in tender preparation, tender pricing and submission.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and value of works completed.
• Prepare and submit progress claims and valuations for interim payments.
• Assess subcontractors' progress claims and prepare payment recommendations.
• Identify and prepare variation claims arising from changes to the scope of works.
• Maintain records of measurements, variations and project costs.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual matters.
• Analyse costs of alternative construction methods and materials.
• Prepare, negotiate and reconcile final accounts with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Assist in contract administration and related quantity surveying duties.

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction and civil engineering projects.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measurement of construction works, materials and labour requirements.
• Prepare, review and evaluate quotations, tenders and subcontractor submissions.
• Assist in tender preparation, tender pricing and submission.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or a relevant construction-related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of construction costing, quantity measurement, tendering, progress claims, variations and contract administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM will be an advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Meticulous, responsible and conscientious in carrying out assigned duties.
• * Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and project teams.
