Job summary

Surbana Jurong, headquartered in Singapore, invites a capable Quantity Surveyor to join its cost consultancy team in Singapore.

You will provide QS services across all project stages, prepare cost estimates, handle tender processes, monitor costs, and finalise accounts while coordinating with clients and contractors. A 1-3 year track record plus a recognized QS degree is preferred; membership with SISV, RICS or AIQS is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Recognized Degree in Quantity Surveying with relevant working experience in the Construction industry.
  • 1-3 years working experience in a cost consultancy / contracts management environment.
  • Longer years of experience may qualify for higher positions.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of pre and post-contract duties.
  • Good working knowledge of forms/conditions of contract.
  • Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement, CEMS, SMM or equivalent.
  • Membership with SISV, RICS or AIQS preferred.
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary team and communicate with external consultants and clients.

  • Coordinate tender calling and compilation of tender documents.
  • Evaluate tender submissions and prepare tender reports.
  • Monitor project costs including interim reporting and cashflow projections.
  • Assess progress payment claims per contract requirements.
  • Prepare costing and valuation for changes/variations.
  • Submit payment valuations to Clients via designated portals.
  • Attend site progress meetings and liaise with Clients, consultants and contractors on cost and contractual matters.
  • Finalise project final accounts.
  • Undertake other contract administration duties as assigned.

  • Prepare and coordinate the calling of tender, including compilation of tender documents, tender queries, and corrigendum.
  • Evaluate tender submissions, prepare tender reports and recommendations.
  • Monitor and report project costs, including interim cost reporting and cashflow projections.
  • Assess and evaluate progress payment claims in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare costing and valuation for changes / variations.
  • Prepare and submit payment valuations to Clients, including through designated client portals.
  • Attend site progress meetings and liaise with Clients, consultants, and contractors on cost and contractual matters.
  • Finalise project final accounts.
  • Perform other contract administration duties, including submission of warranties and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Undertake any other assignments as may be assigned from time to time.
