Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Singapore seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to design and analyze coastal structures such as quay walls, ports, jetties, revetments and land reclamation. • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects
• Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager / Design Manager to carry out: C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc)
• Plan for Site investigation and result interpretation, Managing sub contracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc)
• Supervise both design and/or site work
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice
• Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties
• Support on pursue project : assist in tender submission

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering recognised by BCA/IES/ACES and from reputable university
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large scale infrastructure/reclamation projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Team player and able to multi-task
• Discipline, self-motivated and resourceful
• Experience in contract administration will be advantageous
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc
