Job summary

JH STEEL CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable estimator to handle quantity take-offs and cost estimation for structural steel projects. You will prepare tenders and quotations, source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage progress claims and final accounts.

The role requires independence, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure, with a proactive and organized approach. On-site coordination may be required at times near Beauty World area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
• Preferably experience in structural steel projects.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Proactive, meticulous and well organized.
• Team player with positive learning and working attitude.

Responsibilities

• Take off quantities and estimate costs for tender submissions.
• Prepare tender & quotation submissions and follow up with clarifications.
• Source quotations, liaise and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and resolve progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractors' progress claims, variations and final accounts.
• Attend site meetings to capture variation claims and interim valuations.
• Liaise with clients and consultants on contractual issues.
• Perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quantity take off and cost estimation
• Preparation of tender & quotation submission and follow up with tender clarifications and interview
• Source quotation, liaise and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Preparation and resolution of progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• Evaluation and certification of subcontractors’ progress claims, variation orders and final account
• Attend site meetings to capture all variation claims, preparation of interim valuations and potential variation works
• Liaise with Client and Consultants on all contractual issues
• Handle other assigned duties orrelated job as and when required
