Job summary

Topmast Engineering Pte Ltd, established in 2009, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, manage project budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure commercial success of construction projects.

You will prepare quotations, perform take-offs from drawings, and monitor costs to maintain profitability while liaising with clients and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions for Metal Works projects to support business growth.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and measurements from construction drawings and specifications to inform cost planning.
• Obtain, assess, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Monitor and control project costs and budgets to maintain financial targets and profitability.
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to facilitate timely project payments and contract closure.
• Review project drawings, contracts, and scope of works to identify and evaluate cost implications and risks.
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams on commercial and contractual matters to ensure alignment.
• Maintain accurate records and provide comprehensive support on tendering and other quantity surveying activities to enhance project delivery.

• Basic knowledge of quantity surveying procedures, cost estimation, and contract administration


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications


• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
