Job summary

Topmast Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Singapore. You will prepare quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions for metal works projects and perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

You will monitor project costs, prepare progress claims, variation orders and final accounts, while reviewing contracts to identify cost implications and ensuring accurate commercial records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in QS, Building, Construction Management or related field.
• Metal Works/Steel Works/Structural Steel experience strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of QS procedures, cost estimation and contract administration.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specs.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions for metal works projects.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and specs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and overall cost control.
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Review drawings, contracts and scope to identify cost implications.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain records and support tendering and other QS tasks.
