Fortis Structure Pte Ltd in Singapore is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel works projects. You will monitor project costs, prepare progress claims, variation orders and final accounts, and coordinate with project teams.
Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields, with 2–5 years’ experience in Singapore or Malaysia construction.
This role involves preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions for structural steel works projects. You will manage commercial documentation, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts while monitoring project costs and budgets.
Prepare quantity take-off and measurement based on drawings, BOQ and project specifications
Prepare quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel works
Prepare and submit monthly progress claims and follow up on payment certification
Prepare and manage Variation Orders (VO), additional works and final accounts
Review subcontractor/supplier quotations, claims and payment applications
Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities and commercial performance
Assist in preparation and review of contracts, purchase orders and subcontract agreements
Work closely with Project, Engineering and Site teams to verify completed work and quantities
Maintain proper commercial documentation and records for claims and payments
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
Preferably 2–5 years working experience in Singapore or Malaysia construction industry
Experience in structural steel, steel strutting, temporary works or civil/infrastructure projects will be an advantage
Familiar with quantity take-off, progress claims, VO, final accounts and subcontractor payments
Able to read structural and engineering drawings
Familiar with Singapore construction contracts and commercial practices
Good communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage
Able to work independently and coordinate with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
