Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in QS/CM/Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, tendering, or cost estimation.
• Strong understanding of contracts, costing, and procurement processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, BOQ, scope of works and contract conditions to prepare accurate costings.
• Take-off quantities from drawings and specifications for architectural, MEP, furniture, finishes and specialist works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates using supplier quotations and develop cost build-ups including labour, materials, preliminaries, wastage, logistics, and contingencies.
• Prepare RFQs and tender enquiries; source and evaluate quotations from suppliers/subcontractors; ensure submissions are competitive and compliant.
• Analyse and normalize quotations; raise clarifications with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors on scope, quantities and terms.
• Prepare tender summaries and cost plans; present estimated costs, allowances, margins, and commercial considerations; support tender decisions.
• Transfer tender information to project/admin teams upon contract award; provide contract value, scope, assumptions, exclusions, procurement commitments, and budgets.

Rolesand Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a Quantity Surveyor at Inprodec, you will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, preparing quantity take-offs, sourcing quotations, conducting cost analysis, and preparing competitive tender submissions for commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, project teams, and clients to ensure accurate costing, commercial compliance, and smooth project handover upon award.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tender Review

• Review tender drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), scope of works, and contract conditions.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, exclusions, and incomplete information that may impact project costs and execution.
• Highlight commercial and technical risks during tender evaluation.

2. Quantity Take-Off

• Measure quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for architectural, MEP, furniture, finishes, and specialist works.
• Ensure measurement accuracy and completeness for tender pricing.

3. Tender Pricing & Cost Estimation

• Prepare detailed cost estimates using supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop cost build-ups covering labour, materials, preliminaries, wastage, logistics, and contingencies.
• Utilize historical project data and market rates for cost benchmarking.

4. Supplier & Subcontractor Management

• Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and tender enquiries.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure tender submissions are commercially competitive and technically compliant.

5. Tender Evaluation & Clarification

• Analyse, compare, and normalize quotations received.
• Identify commercial and technical discrepancies in supplier submissions.
• Raise clarifications with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding scope, specifications, quantities, and commercial terms.

6. Tender Summary & Cost Planning

• Prepare tender summaries and cost plans.
• Present estimated project costs, allowances, mark-ups, anticipated margins, and key commercial considerations.
• Support management in tender review and submission decisions.

7. Project Handover

• Transfer tender information to the Project and Admin teams upon contract award.
• Provide details on contract value, scope, assumptions, exclusions, procurement commitments, and approved budgets.
• Supports smooth project commencement and commercial control.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum2-5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, tendering, or cost estimation, preferably in commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, costing, and procurement processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
