Job summary

LOTTE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CO., LTD. Singapore Branch is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to measure and take off quantities from drawings and manage cost control across the project lifecycle.

You will prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, and sub-contractor payments, while liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms. You will work with the Engineering Department to ensure compliance with technical standards, perform cost analyses, and present

Qualifications

• Degree/ diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Able to work independently with meticulous and analytical approach.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor is preferred, especially on LTA projects.

Responsibilities

• Measure and take off quantities from drawings.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments.
• Obtain quotations, liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost analyses and present cost comparisons to management.
• Attend negotiations and meetings with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Oversee compliance with technical standards with Engineering Department.
• Assist contractual team on claims to manage project scope.
• Coordinate with departments on cost-related issues.
• Monitor procurement and delivery orders.
• Support Project Control Manager with QS-related tasks.
• Provide technical support to construction and design teams.
• Check drawings for compliance and assist updating drawings.

Job description

  Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.

  Prepare, analyze and present cost comparison to management.

  Attend negotiations, discussions, meetings with sub-contractors and suppliers where necessary.

  Work with Engineering Department to oversee and ensure compliance with technical standards.

  Prepare cost analysis and form cost reduction strategies to ensure the overall value is enhanced for the project.

  Assist Contractual team on contractual claims so that the project scope is managed.

  Coordinate with various department related to cost issue.

  Monitor procurement and delivery orders.

  To assist the Project Control Manager with all other QS related job as required.

  Technical support to construction and design teams.

  Check drawings compliance and assist to update drawings

Job Requirement

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
• Able to work independently, meticulous, analytical for long-term service.
• Working experience as a Quantity Surveyor are preferred, LTA project
