Job summary

UNITED SPECIALISTS PTE LTD seeks a proactive Purchaser to support procurement for construction projects in Singapore. You will source suppliers, compare prices, prepare POs, and liaise on delivery schedules to keep projects on track.

Strong English, communication, and Excel/Word skills are essential for success. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in purchasing within the construction sector, are self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal guidance, and familiar with tendering or

Qualifications

• Diploma/AC or GCE O Level or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years purchasing experience, preferably in construction in Singapore.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient English language abilities.
• Experience with tendering and estimation is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement process of the Company.
• Source suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Compare and negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare purchase orders and/or work orders to suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules.
• Assist in progress claims to project clients and payment responses to sub-contractors.
• Maintain proper procurement documentation.
• Assist on other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Responsibilities

• Support procurement process of the Company
• Sourcing for suppliers and sub-contractors
• Comparing and negotiating prices with suppliers and sub-contractors
• Preparing purchase orders and/or work orders to suppliers and sub-contractors
• Liaise with suppliers on goods delivery schedule
• Assist in preparing progress claims to project clients and payment responses tosub-contractors
• Maintain proper documentation for procurement
• Assist on other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time

Job Requirements

• Diploma, Advance Certificate and/or GCE O Level or equivalent
• 1-2 years purchasing experience preferably in construction related industry in Singapore
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good Command of English
• Proficiency in local tendering and estimation experience is strongly encourage to apply
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum guidance
• Software skills required on MS Excel and MS Word
