Job summary

About the role

This role involves the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects. You will evaluate tender proposals, conduct project feasibility studies, and manage cost information throughout the project lifecycle.

You will assist in handling contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, while overseeing overall project budget setting, cost planning, and monitoring. The role also includes reviewing and comparing contract awards, subcontractor quotations, and prevailing rates to ensure cost competitiveness and value for money.

You will review and update procedures, policies, and subcontract agreements, including relevant contractual clauses, in line with the latest regulations and industry practices to safeguard the company's interests. You will monitor project expenditure, prepare and update cashflow projections, and provide regular cost reports to support effective budget control.

You will advise the project team on potential cost overruns, cost risks, and suitable alternative materials, finishes, or construction solutions where appropriate. The role also involves sourcing and developing a wider pool of reliable interior subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist contractors, including those for carpentry, flooring, ceiling, electrical, mechanical, glass, metalwork, painting, and other interior fit-out works.
