Job summary

WOOD STUDIO PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage measurement, pricing, and procurement activities for building projects in Singapore.

You will coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, prepare budgets, and monitor costs including variation orders and progress payments. The role requires a Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of related experience, strong numeracy, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Bachelor in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of building and construction work.
• Strong financial and numeracy management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
• Ability to absorb complex information quickly and assess requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take off quantities, pricing, inking, and calling for sub-contractor quotes for tenders and variations.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare budgets and monitor costs, and manage subcontractor claims and variation orders.
• Progressively update schedule of rates for itemized works and inform management.
• Provide procurement advice during tender procedures.
• Assist in tender analysis and agreement of contract sums.
• Demonstrate knowledge of interior and construction practices.
• Demonstrate negotiating and teamwork skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Taking off Quantities, pricing, inking, and calling for sub-contractors quotes for submission of tenders, quotations for additions and alternation works, preparation of variation orders, progress payment claims and final accounts.
• Co-ordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Work out budgets for projects as well as monitoring of costs on a regular basis and subcontractor’s progressive claims and variation order claims.
• On a progressive basis, you are required to prepare an updated schedule of rates for the various itemized elements of works and to keep the management regularly inform.
• Risk management and calculation of each project taken Procurement advice and assistance, especially during the tendering procedures
• Assist in Tender analysis and agreement of the contract sum

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is preferred for this position.
