Job summary

Airwallex in Singapore is seeking a Quality Engineer on the Risk Platform to define quality for risk-critical systems. You will build automation, tooling, and infrastructure to ship changes quickly and safely.

You design end-to-end and regression tests for risk decisioning, ensure deterministic test data, and implement contract testing with upstream and downstream services, while mentoring peers in test design and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience as an SDET/Software Engineer in Test with building test frameworks.
• Solid experience testing large-scale distributed backend systems (REST APIs, messaging).
• Hands-on API, E2E automation and CI/CD; contract testing and test data environments.
• Deterministic data, isolated environments, fast feedback for tests.
• Experience using AI to accelerate testing and testing ML models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end regression automation across risk decisioning flows.
• Establish stable, reproducible test data and isolated environments.
• Introduce and own contract testing between Risk Platform and services.
• Build jurisdiction-specific coverage validating regional rules.
• Define and enforce release-quality gates and post-release checks.
• Own testing and release acceptance for client-facing projects end-to-end.
• Mentor engineers on test design and automation.
