Job summary

Airwallex in Singapore is seeking a senior Java engineer to join the risk platform team. You'll help keep Airwallex's payments safe and scalable, collaborating across product areas worldwide.

The role focuses on Java/Kotlin development, building microservice components, and applying modern patterns to handle high concurrency and reliability. You will also mentor peers and contribute to architectural improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Proficiency in Java, multi-threading and network programming.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the senior technical team to develop and enhance the company’s payment products and transaction systems using Java/Kotlin.
• Independently design and develop components on the company’s microservice framework.
• Experiment with new technologies and propose architectural improvements.
• Support and mentor less-experienced team members in software engineering practices and coding standards.
