Job summary

Singapore Exchange Limited is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering and Testing leader to drive automation-first delivery and enterprise-scale testing across capital markets platforms.

You will own test governance, build scalable test architectures, and lead high-performing teams while collaborating with product, security, and platform groups. Strong communication with executives will be essential, as will mentoring practitioners and driving data-driven quality decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or related disciplines, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing large-scale testing or quality engineering organisations.
• Experience in capital markets, particularly within Securities, Derivatives, Market Data, or related trading and post-trade systems, will be an added advantage.
• Develop thorough, well-structured test scenarios that maximize coverage and minimize risk of undetected defects.
• Deep expertise in modern quality engineering principles, including automation-first delivery, platform consistency, risk-based coverage, and enterprise-scale testing practices.
• Proven track record of owning quality outcomes and leading test governance across multiple teams or programmes, including test architecture reviews, automation standards, quality gates, and defect governance.
• Strong people leadership experience, with demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams, and coaching practitioners.
• Advanced expertise in modern test automation, performance engineering, and test data tooling, including technologies such as Claude Code or similar AI tools, Tosca, Playwright and Esprow.
• Open mindset and eager to improve existing processes to boost productivity in collaboration with others
• Customer driven mindset, looking beyond requirements and contributing to great products
• Hands-on experience implementing cloud-based test infrastructure and CI/CD quality controls using platforms such as GitHub Actions and AWS CodeBuild.
• Practical understanding of AI-enabled engineering practices.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and articulate quality risks, trade-offs, and investment priorities in a clear and credible manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire large testing and quality engineering teams across multiple programmes.
• Define and govern test architectures, automation standards, and quality gates to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.
• Collaborate with security, platform, and product teams to align testing with governance and risk management.
• Drive automation-first initiatives, optimize test coverage, and manage data provisioning for testing.
• Represent quality in senior leadership forums, articulating risks, trade-offs, and investment priorities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentorship for junior testers and engineers.
