Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Local OU Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive business process excellence and CI initiatives across the local operating unit in Singapore. You will partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, lead transformation projects, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

You will oversee CI projects, map processes, analyze data, and mentor teams on Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and related tools while ensuring HSE considerations are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5-8 years in Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or related roles.
• Experience in power/energy, grid infrastructure, manufacturing or EPC environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality assurance methods.
• Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S and problem-solving skills; Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects, Kaizen events, and process improvements across the local operating unit.
• Plan, execute, and sustain CI projects with measurable benefits.
• Analyze processes to remove inefficiencies and improve quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with management and stakeholders to identify and address business challenges.
• Facilitate process mapping, root-cause analysis, and improvement workshops.
• Monitor performance, validate benefits, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Promote standardization and share best practices across the organization.
• Support deployment of CI practices and cultural transformation.
• Coach teams on CI methodologies and customer-focused problem solving.
• Ensure HSE considerations are integrated into improvements.
